What are you doing 30 days out from your wedding?

Let’s call 30 days from your wedding day a month to simplify things.

A month from your wedding, and you’re counting the days.

Possibly one more month of ‘wedding shredding’: white fish and greens for dinner, crackers, tuna and beans for lunch, and a banana with skim milk for breakfast each morning.

If that’s your jam – and, of course, it’s what is on the inside that really matters – there are only 30 more days of the diet.

Count the burn.

A month out, and you’re most definitely finalising the guest list.

You’re chasing outstanding RSVPs, accepting apologies from distant cousins in Alabama (thank goodness), and planning seating to keep Uncle Roy as distant from anyone as possible.

Mum – if she is involved – is now in full swing. We’ll leave you to manage that one: no tips or advice from us 😬, though let’s agree that stress, family dynamics, control issues, letting go and perfectionism can be the perfect storm.

Good luck, and we mean that.

A month out, and you’re possibly ready for the last dress fitting. Any final adjustments? We have no doubt you’ll look perfect on the big day – whatever theme or style you’re after.

Hint: Shrek and Princess Fiona-themed weddings are a hoot and require much less adjustment.

Just don’t tell Mum 😬.

It’s a month out, and it’s time to lock in those beauty appointments—hair, makeup, spa treatments, and green rouge if you are considering our Shrek idea.

With beauty ticked, it’s time to move onto the wedding day run sheet: the timeline of events. Arrive on horse and cart at 2:45. The ceremony will be done by 3:30, and Champagne will be on the lawn while photos are taken. At 9:30 pm, organise an Uber for Uncle Roy.

At this point, you should also be checking in with all your wedding suppliers, something we repeatedly stress.

The wedding venue, the caterers, the photographers and the florist. Call, discuss, and make sure things are going to plan.

And finally, a month out?

You’re probably calling in favours.

Someone’s brother is pretty good with an SLR and can provide additional photographic coverage for a few hours before the reception.

One more speech is needed; Uncle Roy has known you your entire life and is good value before the twitching hour. He has also asked a dozen times.

Yep, one month out, and there’s a lot to do.

Get wedding insurance from Wedsure, 30 days from your wedding date

We said “finally,” though there is one more thing to add to the list.

Wedding insurance.

To be transparent, getting wedding insurance a month before the big day leaves it late, and unfortunately, prior deposits aren’t covered.

Though plenty is covered, especially mishaps on the big day, such as lost wedding rings, damaged attire, and the tail end of deposits, which will soon mount up.

For these reasons alone, we believe wedding insurance should be on your hit list, even 30 days out from the big day.

Until recently, our policies at Wedsure required that you took the policy out no less than 90 days from the wedding date.

However, we’ve changed that due to popular demand.

And we mean popular demand.

Couples often become aware of wedding insurance and its benefits in the third trimester.

The actual cost of the wedding is becoming more evident.

Maybe one or two wobbles closer to the date. A supplier pulls out; the wedding venue just discovered a clash and wants to move your reception to the cellar.

And we get that.

We’ve changed our policies to reflect the situation so many couples find themselves in, and we hope that works for you.

One more month. You’ve got this.
